(8) open new layer name it SHIRT 
open image sb_redbfly.jpg and sb_redsmiley.jpg minimize
open selections/load from disk/ sbclown-sleeves.sel
use paintbrush - fill with color black
deselect

use magic wand, holding shift key down, click inside both arms
flood fill both arms with style/pattern/ sb_redbfly
magic wand click outside sleeve image
effects/3d/drop shadow/ these settings:


repeat drop shadow changing h&v to (minus) -5
deselect
SAVE -CTRL S

(9) new layer name it HEAD
open selection/load from disk/ sbclown- head.sel
flood fill with color black
selections/modify/contract 2
flood fill with color #F4E3BE
selections/modify/contract 8
flood fill with color white
selections/select all
selections/float
effects/3d/cutout

repeat cutout change horizontal to (minus) -10
deselect
SAVE -CTRL S

(10) open new layer name it EYES
selections/load from disk/ sbclown-eyes.sel
use paintbrush - fill with color black
selections/modify/contract 2
flood fill with color blue
deselect

(11) open new layer name it EYES2
open selections/load from disk/ sbclown-eyes2.sel
use paintbrush fill with color black
selections/modify/contract 2
paintbrush fill with color white
deselect
SAVE -CTRL S

(12) open new layer name it EYES3
open selections/load from disk/ sbclown-eyes3.sel
flood fill with color black
effects/3d/inner bevel/round
deselect

(13) open new layer name it MOUTH
open selections/load from disk/ sbclown-mouth.sel
using paintbrush flood fill with color black
Use magic wand - click inside mouth and flood fill with color red
deselect

use draw tool /freehand width 3 (draw mouth)
[you may want to enlarge this to do this part]

(14) open new layer name it CHEEKS
use Spraycan tool and color red
color cheeks

effects/blur/gaussian blur 5.00

SAVE -CTRL S

(15) open new layer name it HAIR
open selections/load from disk/ sbclown-hair.sel
flood fill with color #FF9001
DO NOT deselect yet
( I included file rope1.psp in case you don’t have rope tub- open it and export as tube)
open rope1.tub and fill hair
(you can leave it that color or color/colorize - I colorized to blue if you keep it selected it will only color the area inside the marching ants)
deselect
SAVE -CTRL S

At this point you can decide of different ways to finish the face- with a red nose ‘or’ glasses from your preset shapes. Add a hat if you like. Here are both....., you choose. I have directions below for different ways of doing this part.

(16) open new layer name it NOSE
open selections/load from disk/ sbclown-nose.sel
flood fill with color red
effects/inner bevel/ round
deselect

(17) make new layer name it GLASSES
preset shapes use glasses3
start on left side of head by pupils, bring across to other side and pull down to where you want the nose. 
Make sure the eyes are inside the glasses.

Use magic wand and highlight both lens in glasses - edit/clear 
(so eyes show thru good)

(18) make new layer name it HAT
Use preset shapes - hat2 - retain style checked
apply hat to head
deselect
SAVE -CTRL S

This is the order of all of your layers. 
When finished with your clown you can click on background layer and 
(a) add a background of your choice and merge visible and save as .gif or .jpg
(b) merge visible and tube for future use.

Ok now you're done!!
